Your Website is Costing You Customers

Do you ever wonder why potential customers don’t engage on your website?  Have you ever looked at your website from a phone?  Is it easy to use?  Easy to read? Is the amount of traffic you get reflected positively in your sales?

If you answered “no” to any of those questions, then this #simpleitadvice tip is for you.  Your website must be fully responsive (i.e. mobile-friendly) and easy to use.  Customers expect to find all the same information and features when visiting from their phone as when visiting from their desktop computer.  Your mobile site must also load fast.  If it can’t load in under five seconds, people will move on to another site.

Why is it important that your website is responsive?  70% of mobile searches result in action being taken within an hour as opposed to a week for desktop searches (Source: Mediative Labs 2012).

This means potential customers are more likely to engage with you faster if your website is mobile friendly.  When your site comes up on a list of search results but is not responsive, your competitor just made a profit.  Don’t lose customers because you didn’t invest in mobilizing your website.
